One record, five sections
This is not a one-word verdict. It is the whole record, organised so you can match the vehicle in front of you to the registry and read every date at a glance.
What the vehicle is
Make, model and variant, fuel type, colour, body type, seating capacity, engine and chassis numbers, manufacturing month and year, and the vehicle class as registered. Compare these with the vehicle and its plates before anything else.
Who owns it and where it is registered
Owner name as the registry shows it, owner serial (1st, 2nd, 3rd owner), the registering RTO, the registration date and the RC's current status word. Father's name, address and phone are never shown.
Insurance, fitness, tax, PUCC and loan
Insurance company, policy number and expiry; fitness certificate validity; road tax paid-till date; PUCC validity; the financer's name if the vehicle is under hypothecation; NOC and blacklist flags; permit details for commercial vehicles. Every date is colour-coded.
Why read the full RC record
The verdict-style checks answer one question each. RC Details is for when you want everything on the record in front of you, in one place.
- Match the vehicle to the paper Engine and chassis numbers, colour, fuel and variant on the record should match the vehicle and its plates. A mismatch needs an explanation from the seller.
- Read every expiry date Insurance, fitness, tax and PUCC each have their own date. A lapsed one is a cost you inherit.
- Know who the financer is If the record carries a hypothecation, the lender has a claim on the vehicle until it is cleared. The report names the financer so you can ask for the closure letter and Form 35.
- Confirm the registration date The year the seller quotes is often the manufacturing year. The registration date on the record is what decides the vehicle's age for tax, fitness and resale.
- Check the variant you are paying for The record shows the variant as registered, so you can compare it with the one you are being charged for.
- Prepare for the RTO visit Transfer forms need the details exactly as the registry has them. A PDF of the record saves a second trip.

What is not included
RC Details is the VAHAN record for one registration number. It does not read any other register.
- Pending challans Traffic challans live in the traffic authority database, not on the RC. Run Challan Check (₹99), or take the Used Car History Check (₹149), which puts the RC record and the challans in one report.
- Previous owners' names The RC record shows the current owner and the owner serial. For the sequence of past owners, run Vehicle Owner History.
- Address, father's name and phone Never shown, for privacy. Engine and chassis numbers appear as the registry returns them; some states mask digits at source.
- Stolen records, accident or service history Stolen records are a separate check. No check on this site reads workshop, insurance claim or accident records, and none estimates odometer tampering.

How RC Details differs from the verdict checks
Four checks read the same RC record. They differ in what they put at the top.
- RC Details (this page, ₹99): the whole record, every field, no single verdict. For buyers who want to read everything and keep the PDF.
- Blacklist Check (₹99): answers one question first, blacklisted or not, with the RTO's own note, then the record as evidence.
- RC Status Check (₹99): answers whether the RC is active, suspended or cancelled, then the record as evidence.
- Used Car History Check (₹149): this record plus pending challans, in one report.
If you know which question you are asking, take the verdict check. If you want the record itself, take RC Details.
The other checks
Every check reads one registration number and shows one report. Pick the question you need answered.
